Billing, Subscription & Refund Policy
Last updated August 1, 2026
This page explains every charge on getbuilo.com in plain English. It forms part of our terms of service; where the two overlap, they are intended to say the same thing.
What you can buy
- AI Business Blueprint™ — a one-time purchase of $29 USD. It is not a subscription and does not renew. You keep access to that blueprint in your account.
- A plan (subscription) — billed monthly or annually by Stripe. A plan includes a set number of research credits each billing period and a limit on how many active projects you can keep.
- Credit packs — one-time purchases that add credits to your balance.
The current prices, credit amounts and project limits are always shown on the billing page before you confirm checkout, and that display is the authoritative figure.
How credits are spent
- Generating a Market Intelligence or Validation module spends credits. Most modules cost 1 credit; a small number cost more, and the exact cost is shown before you start.
- Viewing, re-reading, editing, printing or exporting a result you already generated never costs credits.
- Plan credits are spent before purchased credits.
- Plan credits refresh each billing period and do not roll over. Purchased credits from credit packs do not expire.
- Credits are reserved when a generation starts. If it fails, the reservation is released back to your balance automatically.
- Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred between accounts.
Renewals and cancellation
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, at the same interval and price, until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time from the billing page, which opens the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation stops future charges.
- After cancelling you keep plan access until the end of the period you already paid for. When that period ends, plan features and any unused plan credits stop being available.
- Cancelling a plan does not remove access to a one-time Blueprint purchase, which is permanent.
- You can also update your card and download invoices from the same billing portal.
Refunds
- One-time $29 Blueprint: 7-day clarity guarantee. If it is not useful or relevant, email us within 7 days of purchase and we will revise it once or refund you.
- Credit packs: refundable within 7 days of purchase for the unused portion. Credits already spent on generated results are not refundable.
- Subscriptions: billing periods already served are not refunded. Cancel to stop future charges. If you were charged after cancelling, or charged twice, email us and we will refund it.
- Refunds are returned to the original payment method through Stripe and typically appear within 5–10 business days.
- If we refund a purchase, any unused credits granted by that purchase are removed. Credits you have already spent are never clawed back to a negative balance.
To request a refund, email support@getbuilo.com from the address on your account. We aim to acknowledge refund requests within two business days.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries according to its standard schedule. If it keeps failing, the subscription lapses and plan features stop at the end of the period already paid for. Nothing you generated is deleted because of a failed payment.
Taxes and currency
All prices are in US dollars. We do not currently apply automated sales-tax or VAT calculation at checkout, so the listed price is the amount charged. If we enable tax collection in future, the tax will be shown at checkout before you pay. You remain responsible for any tax you owe in your own country on a business purchase.
Statutory rights
Consumer law in your country may give you cancellation or refund rights beyond this policy — for example a statutory withdrawal period for consumers in the EU or UK. Nothing here limits those rights. If a mandatory local rule is more generous than this policy, that rule applies.
